About

Alabama’s business and startup ecosystem is thriving, and the state produces thousands of talented college graduates each year. To help businesses flourish and encourage students to call Alabama home after graduation, Innovate Alabama, in partnership with the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama (EDPA), offers the Fuel Alabama Fellowship (FuelAL). The summer program offers college students professional development, service opportunities and social events throughout the state to show off everything Alabama has to offer outside the workplace.

FuelAL connects undergraduate and graduate students to a region and its employers through activities that showcase Alabama’s unique assets, from sporting events and downtown concerts to beachside festivals and hikes in Alabama’s beautiful parks.

Eligibility

FuelAL is a talent retention program of the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama, supported by Innovate Alabama.  Our mission is to connect promising students in our state’s colleges and universities with the fabric of our state’s communities, to showcase what it’s like to live and work in Alabama after college.  We invite all current two-and-four-year students with internships to participate in the summer programming across the state. Further details about 2024 programming will be available at www.edpa.org/talent.
