Emerging Innovation Scholars (BIG Ideas)

About

Emerging Innovation Scholars (BIG Ideas), launched by The University of Alabama Honors College in collaboration with Innovate Alabama, consists of a student innovation contest, taking place in the fall and spring semesters, progressing young entrepreneurs and developing ideas. The entry-level program encourages students with limited or no competition experience to develop their ideas, transform their thinking and address societal problems through creativity and ingenuity.

The program funds research for eminent scholars working in areas of commercial viability and supports their entrepreneurial development.
