BIRMINGHAM, AL – Innovate Alabama announced that it will host its June board meeting at Oak Mountain State Park next Tuesday, June 27, at 2 p.m. The meeting, Innovate Alabama’s second board meeting of the year, will be open to the public at the park’s Interpretive Center.

The meeting will provide important updates to Innovate Alabama’s three key pillars: Access to Capital, Talent Development and Lifestyle and Recreation. Included in those updates will be approval of the inaugural recipients of the Innovate Alabama Tax Credit, approval of the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) plan, and updates on the Innovate Alabama Supplemental Grant, Innovate Alabama Network and Emerging Innovation Scholars program.  Attendance will include Innovate Alabama CEO Cynthia Crutchfield and board members and strategic partners from around the state.

“This year, Innovate Alabama’s reach and impact have expanded remarkably,” said Crutchfield. “This great work could not be accomplished without the support and collaboration of our committed board of directors and local and statewide organizations – from incubators, accelerators and startups to higher-ed institutions, government leaders and investors, each with footprints in different regions of Alabama. We’re thankful for their support and are honored to continue helping innovators grow roots in this great state that we call home.”
